Solubility

The solubility of DOT in water is much higher than that of Borax or Boric Acid. It readily dissolves in cool water to give supersaturated solutions of considerably higher concentrations. The pH of aqueous solution of DOT range from mildly alkaline at low concentrations to practically neutral as concentration increases at ordinary temperature.
